Don't miss the 3rd Annual Chicago Craft Beer Week! This year's theme is Chicago: A City of Neighborhoods. We invite you to explore our city via great beer venues. While the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild is the primary organizer and sponsor of CCBW, this is a celebration of craft beer, wherever it's brewed.
Chicago will be divided into nine neighborhoods plus the suburbs.
It's expected that more than 200 venues will participate this year, offering special $4 tastings of rare beers and other special events throughout the week. Festivities will begin with the "Beer Under Glass" (limited number of tickets still available) event at Garfield Park Conservatory and end with the closing party at Revolution Brewing's new production facility.
This year's participation process for both patrons and venues has been simplified: lanyards are available free at a venue in each neighborhood, and there is no charge for venues to participate (but registration is required).
AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEK
Chicago's celebration will again coincide with American Craft Beer Week (May 14-20, 2012). ACBW was started in 2006 and has grown each year. In 2011, ACBW events were held in all 50 states, paying homage to America’s more than 1,700 small, independent craft brewers. Chicago is proud to play a large role in this growing beer culture along with cities such as San Francisco, Seattle, and San Antonio.
